- Make sure the soles of the work boots you choose are appropriate for your working environment. Do you need slip resistant shoes, heat resistant shoes or puncture resistant shoes?
- Protective footwear must completely cover your foot. Laced work boots should lace all the way up to keep your heel inside the boot.
- You should be able to move your toes inside of the boot comfortably without feeling pressure. Also, you want to make sure that you try on your boots with socks.
